Fishball noodles are often under appreciated and a commonplace dish in hawker centres that isn't too difficult to make tasty. To take it to the next level with handmade fishballs and fish dumplings is what Song Kee's finest did to cement itself as the gold standard for local BCM.
An unassuming shophouse in the middle of Serangoon's residential area, this outlet is manned by the cousin of the original Song Kee Fishball Noodles (now closed). In true Singapore tradition, the wall is proudly plastered with photos of local politicians enjoying the catered BCM and with the owner shaking hands with the PM.

Irregularly shaped dumplings and meat/fishballs show the handmade love that goes into each piece.

Mixing the noodles with some of the soup is essential for adjusting the viscosity of the sauce.

Spicy chilli, sour vinegar and savoury sauce comes together for a satisfying meal.

Verdict: Amu +1, Alex +1, Yang Run +1 (+1 Overall)
